I was going to do Muay Thai a few months back but got wrapped up in college work and work. I called last night to find out what we would be doing in Muay Thai and we apparently don't pair up. We do sit-ups, pyramid work, circuits, press-ups and pad work etc. What confussed me also is to do pad work don't you need to pair up? Back in PRIDE this seemed alot of people choice on how to do damage and end a fight. Now it is not ultilzed half as much, just for a quick example I have not seen a strong clinch with good knee from Shogun or Wanderlei in their recent fights. Anyone have ideas why we are seeing this great weapon slip away.

okay, so ive been thinking of taking up muay thai and people have told me SOME extreme muay thai fighters will deaden their nerves in their legs and arms so they don't feel the pain as much, is this true?
