I was thinking about this today while I was trying to decide where to put Fantastic Mr. Fox in my rankings. Right now, it's my #6, while Up sits at #4. But when I think about the Best Animated Feature category, I find myself hoping Fantastic Mr. Fox wins. I can't give any explanation that makes any sense. But I can't help but think that it will be a bigger prize for Up to get a Best ...

I love Pixar. I love Up. I love how they took more of a serious tone towards the atmosphere of the movie. However, I gotta say; I came to the conclusion that Fantastic Mr. Fox was better than this movie as soon as I left the theater yesterday. Go check it out in theaters while you still can. It's not as widely spread and distributed as any disney movie so go check it out. Out of Wes Anderson's ...

Alright, I'm what you would call the opposite of a Wes Anderson fan, like two of his films and can't stand the others. But this one was actually alright. Like all Anderson films it likes itself far too much but it does have some charm. Now the film itself, looks incredible; it's impossible to deny how well constructed the entire production is. But my big problem with the film was that I didn't ...

1. Well, for some reason i wasn't really anticipating this, but after the good reviews it got i decided to give it a chance. Fortunately it wasn't the major suckage i was expecting, but it wasn't a masterpiece either 2. It has some truly awesome moments like the time where Mr. and Mrs. Fox got caught stealing , but i expected something darker and less "Anderson-ish" 3. About that ...

Have not read book, but loved James and Giant Peach. I liked the movie. Its quirky in dialogue, pace, visuals, so if you like quirky, you will like it. My kids 4 and 6 also enjoyed it. its not over the top amazing, but I enjoyed it...not at all a waste of my time.

I thought it was wonderful (fantastic even), but I will watch anything by Wes cussing Anderson. I've never read the book, so I have no idea how well it worked as an adaptation. I somehow managed to make it though childhood without reading a single book by Roald Dahl. Was it just me, or was Willem Defoe channeling his Wild At Heart character Bobby Peru as the Rat?
