I am trying to clip hour-long videos in Moviemaker into 10-minute segments so that I can post them online. I have done this twice before and had no problem. But for the next two videos I have imported (the videos were made exactly the same way, and they are Windows Media Files), after I clip them, I cannot publish them. Folks Sorry if this has been asked before but I did not find a response in the search engine. On average I find half of any downloads I get have a MovieMaker author and therefore I have to join the site or just get a coded download. 2 questions, 1, why would this content be allowed, 2, anyone know a way of identifying prior to download to save bandwidth usage for a pile of poo! Moviemaker will not allow me to trim a clip, either by using the "Clip" function in Menu (the Set Start Trim Point and Set End Trim Point are greyed out) or by dragging the trim handles on the clip while in Timeline View (I can drag but after I click on the place I wish to trim the trim handle just bounces back to the beginning or end again) or by using the function keys (CTRL+SHIFT+I etc).
