I have a couple of thoughts/questions about the advanced MSC. I know they are basing this course on riders having experience and possibly having been through the basic course but it seems to me that a lot of what is covered is wasted time and a lot of what is missed it quite critical. First thing I feel is not that critical is all the slow speed manouvering they have us do. I mean its good ...

I get 40 mpg at 80 in cruise. I got 32 at 75 pulling a trailer that sticks out 6" on either side. I like the speed and power of a wing, but wish I could shut a couple of pistons off at normal speeds on the slab. I know you egg heads say it wouldn't make a difference but I'm not buying it. I can drive the same type of SUV at the same speed on the freeway and the one with a 4 banger in it will ...

There are a few things I've been told and never really believed. First: That when you drop your motorcycle helmet on the ground, even though you don't see anything more than a small scratch the actual integrity of the helmet is compromised to the point that it is no longer safe to use. Second: If you were to get in a large accident on your bike and were to somehow clear the car you hit, you ...

Wow, a lot of good answers, thank you all! Since I'm partial to sport bikes, and not so much cruisers, I'm thinking saddle bags aren't really an option for me, but I'm glad you mentioned them, jclax01. And thank you, lionlady, for mentioning the Olympia Phantom and the other one-piece suits. Those seem to give you the flexibility of wearing your regular clothes underneath, which is a ...
