anyone who's read the mosin sporter thread has seen the pictures of the blue rifle. the guy who built it is a army sniper who got back from afganistan last year, and it's amazing how well he got it to shoot. from what i remember, he had a lothar walther barrel made for it and a bunch of other stuff, basically he built it up from a scrap rifle. guy goes by the name of "fmsniper" over at ...

One of the MD dealers is getting a shipment of 91/30 Mosin Nagants this week and says they are grade 2 condition and should be under $100. Here are the comments from the dealer: Here is what represents a Grade 2 Mosin Nagant: Barrel Rifling = Very Good Bore = Shiny Wood = Very Good Matching Numbers on Bolt, Butt Plate, Magazine, and Receiver Barrel not drilled to remove ...

Mosin Nagant I'm thinking of buying one of the Mosin Nagant rifles from Big Five while they're on sale. It's probably going to be the M91/30 because that is what is on sale this week. As far the different models go, what is the difference? also, what kinds of things should I be looking for, I'd like to make sure the one I take...

I know this has probably been discussed ad nausem but any suggestions for what will actually work to de-gunkify my Mosin Nagant's barrel. I've done about 50 patches and am kinda of getting sick of the smell of #9 (yeah, heresy I know). Thx!

I got here a lovely 1940 Tula Mosin Nagant 91/30. (Which is certainly harder to find than a 1942 or '43 Izhevsk)... I bought from a fellow Calgunner a few months ago with every intention of keeping it- but my collection shifted and now I don't need it anymore. I haven't even had a chance to fire it. The stock is absolutely beautiful. Those Soviets really took their time re-shellac-ing ...

Hey all, I'm getting my first rifle soon I'm a huge Milsurp lover, and have therefor decided my first firearm to be a Mosin Nagant. A Russian Mosin, as those are cheapest. My first option is a M44 (refurb) for $139, and my second option is a 91/30 (also refurb) for $169. Pros and cons to each would be fantastic! Thanks, guys Please, no ''Location : Canada'' bull****.

Looking to buy a CHEAP Mosin. Preferably and M38 or M44, but I'll settle for a 91/30. I don't really care if cosmetically the rifle looks like crap, as long as it fires and the bore is good. Located in Riverside CA, let me know.

I'm listing my mosin. It is a tula manufactured 91/30, and you can tell it was a sniper based on the rivet heads seen inside the reciever, used to fill up the holes from the scope mount. fires great, i've always kept it clean with a boresnake and oiled it with love. All parts are matching numbers except the bayonet. included are the tools, a boresnake, oiling bottle, sling, a black ...

I have heard rumors and speculation that the M38 and to a degree the 91/30 are going up in price due to the slowing down of imports coming into the country. Can anyone comment on this? And if sso does this include Finnish mosins
