what to look for when buying mosin nagant If I remember, when buying a mosin nagant you look for hex rec, 1944 or less year stamp made, and tula stamp? __________________ Did you know, in most states, you can pay less than $50 and get a license to propel a 4,000lb piece of metal...

For trade is a Mosin-Nagant scope kit. Comes with a rail setup that replaces the rear sight leaf. Does not require drilling or other permenant modifications. Also has Aim Sports 2-7x32mm scope w/rings. Pretty handy for long range shooting. Takes a few minutes to put on, and is easily removed to return your rifle to the original configuration. Here is a link to give you an idea of what ...

I bought a Nagant and I am going to be taking it out this week, but I don't have a case for it yet. I used a tape measure and it appears to be a little bit longer than 48", closer to 49". Has anyone put theirs in a soft case and it fits?

Up for sale: Russian Mosin Nagant M38 carbine made in 1943 at the Izhevsk arsenal. All numbers match except magazine floorplate which has been force matched. Very nice M44 stock with some markings visible. It also retains almost 95% of its original bluing. Bore is in fabulous shape with sharp strong lands and clean grooves. It has been counterbored, but most if not all M38's were counterbored ...

I have an extra 44 stock and handguard that I don't need and someone does. It came off a Chinese T53 I got at a pawn shop. It had been poorly painted black. I was able to remove the paint. It is not the prettiest stock but it is smooth and clean. No major cracks. The color is light with scattered dark spots. The hand guard has a small crack and a fabricated front metal band. It is a ...

I recently acquired a Mosin Nagant 91/30 and after the initial firing and some reading online, am pretty sure I'm gonna need to get help from a professional sighting it in. Can anyone suggest someone in the Lehigh Valley? Thanks

I had a Mosin and wanted to obtain the look of the era, so I put a PU scope on it. Simple cool looking scope. I think it just makes the weapon look awsome, and the 7.62x54 round will drop just about anything within the US. If you want to see a cool flick with some Mosin's in it watch "Enemy at the Gates". OK thanks Well I "thought" it was headspace, but I'll take correction willingly. Not a Mosin guy, Knew I had seen something. Don't want any part of somebody gettin' hurt. Cannot find the site, and not tech savvy enough to find it in my machine.

Hi again, Just wanted to say thanks for all the amazing posts, links, ideas and suggestions. For me to respond to each one would be difficult at best. So I will just tell the conclusion of the matter... After considering all of your ideas, (BTW, this was for a scoped rifle) I ended up following one person's lead to Golden Trigger in Emmaus. There the rifle was put into a bore ...
