I have been looking at the statistics, and in my view, the values which Atheist live by seem to relate to higher morality than the religious sector. Is it the Humanism aspect of being an Atheist which instills a higher set point for moral character. I see the Atheist moral value as being based on empathy and thus relating to other human feeling, providing a much broader base for morality ...

I've noticed that throughout the game you can see different people in the different circles being punished for different reasons (gee aren't I observant?). One thing that comes across my mind when viewing gameplay is the developers stance on all this... How many of you out there really think that unbaptized babies deserve to go to hell? Eat a little to much or get in a fight and that ...

This is really a question towards those who are religious. Does not believing in god automatically make a person incapable of having moral values and common human decency? If so why? I mean in my life I have truly seen religious people to be some of the most judgemental and discriminatory people ever.

Just because Christians have their moral values written down doesn't mean that they're better than personal morals. Being atheist means that a person is free to create whatever morals they would like if they would like to make them. It's an escape from the conformity that most people fallow. It's a way to make your own path in life rather than following everyone else. Freedom is the second most...

I'm not agreeing with this priest, but he's talking about a fairly restricted set of circumstances. He's not saying "go be Robin Hood" if I understand him right. I believe he's talking about those rare cases where a desperately poor person "falls between the cracks" of the system. From our vantage point it might be easy to "tut tut" that we'd never steal and stealing is always wrong, but if ...
