I am on antibiotics and have developed a YI, pharmacist says Monistat 7..... Anyone else perscribed the Monistat? Or used it???? Just wanted to double check before starting it tonight... All my baby books (the more medical ones, not what to expect) say that they will not harm me or baby....

After several replies that I should not take the fluconazole one time pill for a yeast infection, I researched monistat cream and they are also classified by the FDA as a class C drug during pregnancy! Ugh! What to do! I also got "obsessive" and researched Robitussin being that a lot of us moms use that for coughs during pregnancy and its also a C! I guess we just need to suffer?...

I'm 23 weeks along and have a yeast infection, I just called the doctor, and the nurse told me that I could use Monistat, just that I had to make sure not to push the aplicator to far up. I just bought monistat 3 vaginal suppositories, but I want to know if any of you have use it before, or if I shoud buy another kind of Monistat. Thanks a lot.

Got a tip from a friend on another forum that Walmart had a ton of Monistat's Chafing Gel and sure enough... $5 something a tube so I picked up 3 tubes... Haven't seen it in drug stores in ages and posts here have alluded that it was going away!! So if you can't find any head to Wally World!!

So when I went to the doc on monday she told me that I had a yucky yeast infection....grrr. So she put me on flagil and monistat for 7 days...well the first 3 days I used it I felt like as soon as I put it in there I could feel it coming back out (gross I know) well last night when I used it it didnt come back out...still hasnt and its noon here??? i just had my doc appionment an was told i still have signs of a yeast infection. Ok, girls, I don't know what to do. I am on the candida diet and have been for 25 days now. I take diflucan every single day and I use monistat almost every night, and I STILL have a yeast infection.
