In the past, I've had a prejudice against modern Wushu. I used to believe that it was a degeneration and corruption of "traditional" and "genuine" kung fu. But now I am not so sure anymore. I have just read Meir Shahar's new book and it's made me do a lot of re-thinking. Is there REALLY such a big distinction? Or is it just a matter of dates? Both modern wushu and traditional ...

Hi, I really want to learn a traditional CMA, but the problem is there is nowhere to learn it where I live (even though there is pretty much everything else). I want to learn a CMA so badly that I am willing to travel to learn it. But it seems to me that a lot of the programs in China are pretty much modern wushu that focuses on forms, and I don't want to invest a lot money in something that ...
