Customers of Vodafone UK will not be charged for any mobile Internet usage made via their mobile phones today. The operator is running another of its ' Free Mobile Internet Friday ' promotions, which is available regardless of whether you're a pay as you go (payg) or a pay monthly customer on a consumer price plan. And if you have a mobile Internet bundle, the data you use today will not ...

my contract? I have a Sprint ( NYSE: S ) contract that expires in 8 months. I'd like to get mobile broadband, but I don't want to be extend my contract. Would adding mobile broadband require that I extend my contract? I know it extends my contract if I take a discount on the card, but, if I get my own card, can I just use it until my Sprint contract expires?

Currently I have a Mobile Broadband SIM and dongle from 3 on a 15GB for ยฃ15 contract. If I removed the SIM card from the dongle and inserted it into a PAYG handset from 3, would I be able to use up that 15GB via the handset's browser? (Or would I be charged extra or it wouldn't work at all?) Has any of you tried this? Usually mobile internet ...

Any plans to launch a home broadband service where a landline isnt required. Similar to MiFi from three where you have a mobile broadband router. I'd happy ditch BT and the mega bills for my mobile and just an internet from a company. Even virgin now charge the same for broadband with a home phone as they do without. I think the operator which allows home broadband without the need for a...

Hi all, I bought a laptop a few months back that had a SIM slot for HSDPA broadband. I explained this to a Vodafone salesperson last week and they sold me a SIM card only, as I didn't need a USB Modem dongle. I plugged it into my laptop and now have a Vodafone Mobile Connect dial-up modem but it's not set up properly. The phone number is just ppp. I guess I was expecting it to be ...

I've just installed OSX on my mini 9 - and then decided it would be nice to have an internal 3g modem - esp as there seemed to be space. Just bought this from ebay, and now I've come to install it there's no connector - so it's never going to work. Make: Ericsson Model: F3507G 7.2Mbps Dell Part Number: KM266 Adapter Type: MiniPCI-E Asking ยฃ35.00 inc registered post....

I have a 30 day contract with 3 for Mobile Broadband. Like a lot of threads here it's an unreliable and slow connection. Have discovered that the transmitter is at the back of the house, not the front as assumed, where the other suppliers are. But the only practical location for reception is a bedroom. Not however practical for Laptop internet usage, for perhaps obvious reasons. So........ ...

The author has marked this message not to be archived. This post will be deleted on December 4, 2009. Compared to my old Huawei E220, the Vodafone K3565-H (apparently an OEM Huawei E160Z) is pants and disconnects on the move far more often than I would expect. Anyone else found big differences between USB modem 'dongles'?

Story : http://www.ispreview.co.uk/story/2009/11/25/uk-mob ile-broadband-operators-unable UK Mobile Broadband services might not be the fastest or most reliable method of getting an Internet connection but they could become safe havens for illegal file sharing pirates due to a problem with identification. But plans to warn and eventually disconnect "suspected" abusers from their ISPs will...
