So i changed my oil the other day. It was not due for it mileage wise, but my car was using about a guart every 1k miles. I was running Extended Performance 5w-30. Before I was running Quaker State Q HP almost every change and it never used a drop in my 4k mile OCI's. I have heard from a couple of people who have run rodded Subarus that Mobil recently changed their formula a bit and that some ...

I need to do a drain/fill on my 04 Maxima and I was thinking of switching to a synthetic ATF like Mobil 1. I know Nissan is very adament on using nissan matic K only for my application. According to the Mobil 1 website it is a replacement ATF for my application(matic K) and it exceeds the JASO 1-A performance requirements. Is this safe to use? Just don't want transmission problems down the ...

I have a race bike (atv) that seems to like this stuff... seems to stand up to it better than the 5w40 Rotella. Problem is, I don't really know how to tell how cold it is OK to use the 15w50? Coldest weather I would start it in would be like upper 20's after a snow... as snow is about the only thing that motivates me to ride in the cold.

There was a thread a little while back about using Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w-30 motor oil in the tranny. I was previously using Royal Purple syncromax and it worked pretty good, better than the Mopar atf4 stuff. And today I just put in some of the Mobil 1 and it seems to be better than the RP, I would reccomend it for anyone trying to upgrade from atf4 but doesnt want to spend the money for RP.

That long rotella post, that i enjoyed reading, got me curious: the mobil 1 sysnthetic 15-50 i think it was, that i ran awhile back, I was constantly having to add oil. Every 2 weeks. Since I ran the rotella synthetic, hardly at all. Same riding conditions, mileage, almost same temp. Any one else notice this or have ideas why? I think like others have said, my bike loves this stuff. just curious...

I went and had the oil changed today in my LT4 with 119k miles on it For the first time they asked if I wanted Mobil 1 or Mobil 1 HiMileage. I elected to stay with what I had always used. Does anybody know anything about this HiMileage stuff?

Mobil 1 75/90 Question I am new to the HD talking and have been reading all of the very useful posts. My question is the result of the posts on Mobil 1 75/90 gear oil. In my research I came upon the Mobil 1 web site Application for Mobil 1. This is a copy of it. Applications Mobil 1 Synthetic gear Lubricant LS 75W-...
I just changed oil in my 2001 VW Passat 1.8T with Mobil 1 0W40 synthetic oil and noticed changes in operating temperature. With previous oil (Valvoline Synpower 5W30) the car get to 195 F (during the fall in MA) in approximately 3 miles now it takes about 8 miles under very similar weather conditions. Is that normal? Can it be connected with oil change? Maybe my guestion sounds silly for the ...

For a 4.6 3v motor which is driven in the winter. Temps down to -20F. Read about how good MC 5W20 is regarded. Any benefit to running M1 5W20 or is the MC 5W20 ok? Brain spinning trying to make sense out of some threads, base stock, level 2, level 3. Sorry guys, I'm not a chemical engineer. Thanks.
Went to my local auto store to buy Mobil-1 0W40 ($6.99/Q).Asked them if they could give me some discount .....after a little hassle ....got about 20% discount to a $5.50/q.. Ended up purchasing 40q good for few oil changes. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

Hi! Our Precision T3500 with WinXP Pro has a preconfigured and fully working RAID 1 with two internal HDDs. We now added an aditional mobil rack for one addition HDD in a tray for hot swapping and for back up. The HDD in the mobil rack is recognized by the system and MS Windwos XP, but hot swapping does not work, i.e. Windows does not realize when we change HDD in the mobile rack. ...

They don't still have the sample. I found that out the first time I sent a sample to them and then requested a TBN to be done after the fact. Noise was only at idle I think, but don't know for sure. You couldn't hear it INSIDE the truck. I doubt it was the filter, they are high flowing, and I posted pics of it on here, it was not plugged up or anything and there were no visible defects with it...
