I REFER to the letters, 'mio TV's free offer isn't really free' by Mr Tan Yong Hua (Nov 10); 'mio TV's price competitive? Not so sure' by Mr Tay Cher Hou (Nov 20); and 'Set-top boxes - I think many shared my disappointment when SingTel rejected StarHub's offer' by Mr See Poh Lye (Nov24). Full Story

Dec 3, 2009 New phone line for each mio TV set-top box? That's absurd I WOULD like to highlight the short-sightedness of SingTel's mio TV system. I find myself in the unfortunate position of having one existing mio TV box as well as a SingTel broadband connection - each linked to an existing phone line in my home. With SingTel's acquisition of English Premier League (EPL) ...

I justed subscribed to MioTV yesterday, had a peek with their channels. To on MioTV, you need to on the modem even if you are not surfing websites or online, just to merely watch the cable TV. MioTV, compared to SCV, took a long time to connect sia. the content of Mio TV, ...

Singtel has already taken this into consideration when they price EPL. So now is EPL really cheaper than StarHub's? None of the Telcos are doing business to genuinely benefit consumers. MDA is reactive and very slowly too. It'll take MDA another 3 years to sort out everything.

I hav no problem with tv inputs with my TV set. 5 ports more than enough for my requirements. In case you do not have enough because yours is a out-of-date TV set than use an A/B switch to toggle between mio or scv, o rmio and dvid, or scv and dvd etc. I have doubts that a single box is possible any time soon. If it is then a third party should control it.
