I'm wondering if I just had two inexperienced people or if minnow price just went nuts. I stopped at Dan's here in Jamestown about fifteen minutes ago and asked for a scoop of minnows. I got 16 minnows for $3.75, and only about four cups of water. No way would they live long enough to make it to the lake. When I asked for more water she looked at me like I flew in from Mars. I had to kick ...

Hi I have three or four of the original Rapala minnows marketed here in the States, I bought them just before the original Rapala factory burned down. About 1/4 oz, any idea of value. CaseyGhee

Went out on the Butler chain and fished with minnows. The speck were hugging the bottom and reluctant to eat . I did manage this slab and enough for a mess.

Anybody have a better suggestion on going after some slabs, other than buying minnows and finding a good brush pile?????...........I'm taking my wife this weekend, just thought I might be able to get away with something other than just sitting in one spot for the better part of the day.......

For you viewing pleasure, though truth be told, I was trying to use the techniques SS showed me to find some crappie on my local lake. No crappie, but I think that was due to the HUGE minnows I was using. I was just about to call it a morning when I noticed one of my rods all bowed up. Had to bust out the net for this one. Put my scale on it and came up with 4.21 lbs. She was fat as all ...

Went out this afternoon bout 430 and soon as we got the boat in, a large school surfaced about 300 yrds away. As we only have a trollin motor, it took a few minutes to get over to em. I tied on leadhead flukes and swimmin minnows while we cruised over and when we got into range threw 2 out the back and started castin 2 more. We fished for 2 hrs and caught 12 hybrids bout 2 lbs apiece, and 2...

A pleasant day dawned as forcast and plans were already laid to go to the quarry. All the streams were at flood stage and the lakes were still iced over. Stopped at the bait shop for minnows and wax worms then met my buddy at a park and ride around 9am. The divers were out in force but we were the only ones fishing. Perch was the target but the rainbow trout were on the feed big time. Not sure ...

Can anyone tell me of a good bait shop not too far from Tugaloo State park? We will be camping up there next week and I was hoping to get some minnows and do a little fishing.

Hello, as you can see, I'm new to this site, and rather new to keeping fish. I currently only have a 10 gallon tank with a betta, a few White Cloud Mountain Minnows, and a Chinese Algae Eater I got not too long ago. I am fully aware that the Chinese Algae Eater is going to get much larger and get very aggressive and I'm planning on getting it a larger tank. I'd like to have a shot on keeping ...
