Did you know that most of the waterless car wash products contain petroleum and mineral spirits? That’s not Eco Friendly! Freedom Waterless Car Wash is very safe, water-based and 99% biodegradable. It also works the better than the rest of them combined. Check it out.

I began stripping all the paint off with the citrus orange stuff which seems to be working pretty good but it now looks orange. I plan to use the mineral spirits to "clean" the wood and get any access paint off prior to sanding. My boyfriend has very sensitive nostrils and so I wanted to spare...

I applied too much stain to a floor.  I am getting it up with mineral spirits and its doing a great job.  After this step what do i need to do?  After it dries do I just poly or do the mineral spirits have to be removed.  Thanks for your advice!!! Answer Hi LuJohn, the mineral spirits will just dry off, and then you can apply the poly....just make sure that the stain is either all off or dry...

On a can of Minwax polyurethane I got today, it says to wipe down the oil based stain with mineral spirits prior to applying the poly. I've never done this and was wondering if you folks do? Can you also tell me what is the purpose of it? Thanks!!! Michael
