Which of the following statements about interionic and intermolecular forces are true ? a) The binding forces in a MgSO4 solid lattice structure are ion-ion interactions b) The forces binding the crystal lattice structure of NaCl are weaker than the forces between H2O molecules in water. c) The intermolecular forces between HCl(g) molecules are ion-ion interactions d) The strongest ...

I'm trying to predict reactions here based of chemical rules, please tell me if these chemical equations are correct: Mg(s) + 2 HCl(aq) -> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g) Mg(s) + 4 HNO3(aq) -> Mg(NO3)2(aq) + 2 NO2(g) + 2 H2O(l) Mg(s) + 2H2SO4(aq) -> MgSO4(aq) + SO2(g) + 2H2O(l) And also... I had to do an experiment where I added 5 drops of 0.3M FeCl3 to a test tube with a dropper of H2O2 and test ...

And how is this logic applied in reverse with the great stream of articles (op-ed pieces, really) that bemoan the 37-38 week "near preterm" babies and decrying induction/ C/S rates? If you say there is no "improvement" after 30 weeks,(or even 24 weeks, if you buy Dr Mercer's argument) how can there be detriment in delivering at 38w6days vs 39weeks? Not addressed as a "benefit" is tocolytics role and the time gained to transfer to a tertiary care NICU antepartum, rather than post delivery. This has shown to make a very big difference in neonatal outcomes/ morbidity/mortality/ LOS/ costs. Very different perspective sitting in the metropoloitan ivory tower with residents and fellows doing all the work proclaiming it is patently clear that no...

In Toledo we are using nifedipine 20mg q 6hrs for tocolysis to give steroids and then MgS04 for neuroprotective benefits if delivery is iminent in nest few hours for babies 24-34 weeks with a protocol of 6 gram loading dose and 2 grams per hour for 12 hours and then stop if not delivered. Yeah, acetone is pretty freely available at 99% purity as an all-purpose cleaning solvent, just look around. You can dry it with MgSO4, then chill it and wash in a filter. It shouldn't be too difficult.

Bonjour.
