When I use the following method to disable menu items, only popup ones can be disabled, the top-level menus and other sub-menus seems to do nothing! CMenu* menu = CMenu::FromHandle(m_wndMenuBar.GetDefaultMenu()); menu-> GetSubMenu( 1 )-> EnableMenuItem( 1 , MF_BYPOSITION | MF_DISABLED | MF_GRAYED); This method is OK with CMenu in VS 2005. Thanks for the helps!

VS2005 IDE problem. I have a .resx file that I have placed images. Today when I went to add a new image, I can't do it because the menu doesn't work. The new image sub menu shows up but no items in the menu. So I can't select the menu item to import the image from a file. How can I fix the VS IDE?

For some reason, when i change the locale to french, the top menu items don't get changed to the new values but all the subitems are. (Even if they are present in my resource bundle.) If i start the application by specifying the other language in the app's init function, then the entire menu displays the french menu items. I feel like it is a UI refreshing problem !.. (I don't think ...
