Is anyone using mechanical oil pressure gauges? I recently replaced my gauges and senders this past season and it appears my oil pressure sender may be no good already. I work with a couple of older gearheads and was told I should always use a mechanical gauge when it comes to oil pressure. I just recieved an e-mail from Gaffrig about a 25% off sale until Christmas so I figured now might be the ...

Hi guys, I have a '73 240Z that I recently switched from downdraft dgv webers that the car had to '72 roundtop SU carbs. i installed a new mechanical fuel pump, and also am aware that '73+ Z's had an electric fuel pump sometimes installed near the gas tank. I removed that (electric pump) recently, eventhough it looked fairly new. so currently the car is running on a new mechanical fuel pump ...

I need to replace my rad in my 1jz but my mechanic said the supra rad wont work because the fan is mechanical and the 1jz is hydraulic. Is this true? Because people on here said they are all interchangable. thanks

I have heard that there is an Audi engine that uses mechanical tappets on the intake valves and hydraulic on the exhaust. I believe it is a V8 and may be the one with the cylinder heads similar to the VW 16V. I am interested to see if anyone has any knowledge of this as it could be a source for mechanical tappets for my 16V engine. The info i have is: Manufacturer: INA-Schaeffler INA part number...

Mechanical Advantage percentage question Ok, here goes with another question......(been saving them up! ) How much of a mechanical advantage do you have with a machine vs. free-weights? Example: leg curls and leg extensions: at home: I am performing these exercises with about 60-65 lbs. and seem to get a good pump. However, at the gym ...

I run mechanical as well. I too had enough of inaccurate or failing senders. I wouldnt suggest running a mechanical fuel guage to the dash. I only run mechanical oil and water pressure @ the dash. I used braided -3 an lines. The system works great. I also have a mechanical guage mounted on the transom, with a short braided line plumbed direct from the engine. That guage reads a bit ...

Are the mechanical fuel pumps the same on all 2F blocks? or did they have a minor change between the older ones and newer ones? Also where do you source your mechanical fuel pumps from? Next time I'm getting an OEM if possible or whatever is the best equal. Thanks
