I am trying to plan a trip to Hawaii in either February or April. I would like to visit both Maui and Kauai . Is the weather about the same at these times ? I noticed that February is still in the rainy season. Also, which airport would be the most economical and efficient to fly into and depart from ? That's a toughie. Kauai should be drier in April ... but Maui has WHALES galore in February. I would opt for February. Try to avoid the week before and after Easter, as it is a big family vacation time. Interisland flights: Go up on the Hawaiian Airlines website and peek around.
