Mauer led the AL in Batting Average, OBP, and SLG. Nobody has done that since 1980. This is a feat that, IMO, is more impressive than the accepted triple crown. Avg/RBIs/HRs doesn't say as much about a hitter as Avg/OBP/SLG does.

Surpirsed this hasn't been posted yet. I'm wondering if Keith Law voted for him and if so what were his reasons......Mauer missed all of April and part of his "excuse" for Carp not winning the Cy Young was because of his DL time and not pitching 200 innings TOTALLY bypassing the FACT that in Carp's 17 his era was 1.46........wins do matter Keith!
