Can't tell them apart. They can hit a fastball for an HR, swing at everything else, don't like to take a walk, K a lot, have a beard, aren't the ones you want up there with the game on line, get hits only when everybody else is hitting.

Casey Blake is really stinking up the joint right now. He does bring his glove and thats nice but he needs to start hitting. He's a veteran and should be setting a good example out there. Yet, Carlos Ruiz looks better than him at the plate. Matt Kemp needs to get going as well. We know this kid has plenty of talent. Time to use it. Like Blake, he brings his glove as well. He could ...

Where is the DeWitt exposed thread?? Ethier exposed thread (when he hit cleanup in the nlds and hit a solid 100) Blake exposed? This thread is fantastic filled with people looking for someone to blame if its not Loney its Kemp, but like someone said before DeWitt gets a free pass? How about Kent coming on and lofting fly balls to the OF. The blame can be spread around to many players. All i ...

Dodgers(need I say more?) Matt Kemp Russell Martin James Loney Andre Ethier Clayton Kershaw(20!) James McDonald(did you see Gm2 of the NLCS?) Jonathan Broxton Blake DeWitt Cory Wade pretty much our core, and all under 25(except Wade i think). and not only are they young, they are all pretty huge pieces of this dodger team and the reason the dodgers have come this far. ...

You're kidding, right? With Nomar's career stats, there is no way he doesn't have discipline at the plate. That at bat last game was clearly uncharacteristic for him. True, he is a notorius first pitch swinger, but his career numbers speak to his plate discipline. As for any suggestion on my part that Kemp be benched, you must have been commenting to another post. I was just commenting on...

Quote: I was interested in going through a bit of history for Corrie (just for my own personal interest) and decided to look back at what his draft position was - picked by Brisbane at #44 in the 2002 Draft. But the exercise got me thinking about whether there was some way to equate Collingwood's draft history with what was (perhaps) a measured "opinion" of player...

Good job. For North, Harding is a small defender these days - probably third in line after Jesse Smith Power played as a midfielder this year. I guess you would classify him as outside (you also have Power and Pratt twice in defenders and Power again in taggers) Ben Davies and Blake Grima have already been delisted David Hale is our number 1 key forward. Petrie can fit in ...

So yes I know it's a weird combo, but I wanted to combine 5 of my fave shows, that and it's based off a mini-series I'm working on. So basically it does use the five shows but I mixed it up, so the premise is, there are 5 main families and 3 minor families, plus other characters. The setting, it takes place in New York City. The Major Families The Gellers - They were the perfect ...

I know a lot of Dodger fans don't like Jeff Kent. I know a lot of Dodger fans don't like Bill Plaschke. But, I think Plaschke's column in today's Times is a perfect tribute to a guy who's bat has lead the dodgers through much of the past four years. Maybe he is gruff, maybe he is all business, maybe he's not the most popular guy in the clubhouse, but Jeff Kent is a warrior. Before Manny ...

I thot this was well worth the time it took to read, AND you'll like the way in ends train October 8, 2008 Playoff Prospectus Dodgers versus Phillies by Jay Jaffe The Phillies claimed their second NL East title in as many years by embarking on a 13-3 tear to end the season, once again storming past a shell-shocked Mets club. They made short work of the Brewers in the Division Series, and ...
