I'm becoming less and less amused by martial arts movies, mostly because they are filled with nothing but famous actors who barely have any skill. I want a movie that I can learn from. Some of the old Jackie Chan movies are pretty good, alot of stuff he does in his movies just makes you go "Wow". Why is it either acting or skill thats sacrificed to make a martial arts movie? I mean it's either ...

Verily I say unto thee...if, like me, you love the martial arts genre then you simply must see IP MAN starring Donnie Yen.This story of the Wing Chun grandmaster who went on to become the teacher of Bruce Lee contains some of the greatest sequences of unarmed combat ever captured on screen and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Many years ago, me and my brother watched old Jackie Chan movies (From the 70s or so) on TV, there was this local channel that would show them on saturdays at midnight. We always had a lot of fun, and lately I've been reminiscing a lot and getting back into things I had lost the taste for so...today I acquired a couple of classics to get me started again, Fist of Fury (Bruce Lee) and Drunken ...

Has becoming an MMA fan made you change the way you see Martial Arts movies? Growing up, I was into the old Martial Arts classics (Kung Fu, Bruce Lee, Van Damme, Seagal, Norris). After becoming an MMA fan, I admit I've changed the way I see those films. Not necessarily a bad nor a good thing. Anyone feel the same way?...

Having seen the original movie on the big screen (and also being the proud owner of a VHS copy), I was looking forward to this release on DVD. Unfortunately, I feel this US release destroys what must be one of Jackie Chan's top 5 movies. The translated dialogue is terrible. Not just the translations, but the voice actors they recruited sound like Chinese actors speaking bad English. If this...
