If you do not believe that Market Makers short stocks you are sadly mistaken.. They short and cover...why do you think a lot of stocks will gap on news and then "backfill" or close the gaps?? it ain't do to retail selling dude!!! the MM's take the orders on the way up, then stop and backfill to cover....

Market makers can't sign up because there are no financials that they can use to support their position. Even if they filed, FINRA would reject it. They have said as much if you go back to an 8K filed by SPNG. get your filings up to date or else... You should really learn the process before attacking the comments of others.
