Recently when getting my Pioneer sx 1250 serviced a customer brought in a Marantz 2385 Receiver in good shape in to get bulbs replaced but everything else was fine. I would love to own this receiver and was thinking of making him an offer on it as it is in great shape. What would be a good offer on one of these units?

In my office I have a newer Marantz integrated amp. I need a new CD player but my budget restricts me to the 350 dollar offerings from Marantz, Cambridge or NAD. Is there going to be much difference between the 3? Or should I go with the marantz? [Vintage used is not an option since I want to playback cd-r's]

I just bought a brand new Marantz SR8002 and a Marantz Blu Ray 7004. When I set my front speakers in LARGE the sub does not work. I usually use Marantz for my receivers...and I always run the Audyssey and then do a little more with my audio control rta. My question is I have a set up with the sr6003 and 7004 bluray. when the 6003 is run with analog audio it will show audyssey on the display. when I play a normal dvd in the 7004 with say dolby digital it will show audyssey on the display...when I put in a bluray it will ...

Just got a 3300 marantz pre amp from Mike. His packing job was without question the best one I've ever seen done on a vintage unit. This pre amp had to survive the grueling trip from California to Connecticut in the hands of monkeys. Mike did a great job making sure that the marantz would be safe and comfortable in it's long journey. Thanks Mike and hopefully we'll do business again.

I tried removing the feet screws; no change. I also inspected the wires that could be hit if the screws were too long and found no sign of rubbing, chaffing, etc....grrr. I will try some of the other suggestions tomorrow. Again, thank you for helping out a green newbie.
