My friend who is a cattle farmer delivered me some nice dry loose manure, when emptying I said, looks like around 3 or 4 ton's, he replied no, at least 8 to 9 tons, I see it by how low the springs go on the truck. I said guess it's heavier then it looks. Last year he delivered about the same amount with the exchange of honey and machine shop work of around 250 dollar. He found that this was ...

Sorry, sorry, I know this subject has been done to death. However.... Whenever I pick up manure that's remotely fresh, I compost it for awhile to render the nasty organisms ineffective. How do you know when manure is at that stage? People often say the manure is about a year old, which sounds safe enough, but it often looks like some fresh offerings have been heavpd atop the pile. Furthermore, ...

A friend gave me access to her composted horse manure. I dug several 33 gal plastic bags up to take home. Wow! I think you could have baked potatoes in the bottom of the compost!! Do I put it in the beds from the bag or should I mix it with something before putting it in the beds? From prior reads, I gather I should not put it on to heavily and keep it away from plant bases and tree trunks. ...

A farmer was driving along the road with a load of manure. He had a flat tire next to the insane asylum. As the farmer changed the tire, several residents of the asylum gathered inside the fence to watch. One of them asked, "What have you got in your truck?" "Manure," the farmer replied. "What are you going to do with it?" asked the man. "Put it on my strawberries," answered the ...

Is anyone buying the pile of manure Vinny Cerrato is shoveling out of Washington DC? No respectable Redskins fan is, especially those who live in the nations capitol and are used to politicians lies. Cerrato uses his radio show (why he even has one is beyond comprehension) as a platform to explain his incompetencies. He used it this week to make a few statements that need to be broken...

Hi, I have been offered some "fresh" horse manure. The reason I say fresh is because they usually throw it (what a waste). However, what should I do with it?. I have some raised beds that need filling up for spring or do I put in a compost bin. Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought a game the other day from GAME, Silent Hill Homecoming for R80 (bargain) Nowhere on the cover or in the manual does it say anything about STEAM. So I thought actually buying a original game, means you don't have to worry about the cracks, virusses and schlepp to make the games work. I don't have an internet line at home, so I had to use my cell to connect to internet. ...
