I built a sbc 400, wanted to just re-use the current exhaust manifolds which were stock and the crate 350 that I pulled out. Shouldn't these old exhaust manifolds bolt right up to my new sbc heads? I can get 6 bolts of the eight started and nearly snugged, but the last two seem to be about 1/16-1/8" short! I tried moving, jiggling, starting at both ends but really don't know what to here. It's like I'm being baptized into the Jeep world...I have to replace my cracked 4.0L exhaust manifold. I've got a kid on the way, so the wheeling budget it tight...I've been eying the eBay manifolds. Need some help on Hobby exhaust manifolds. I have a set of exhaust manifolds that dump over the top. Are these what they call the LT 1 exhaust manifolds, or are the LT 1 exhaust manifolds something different? Also are the over the top dump manifolds off newer 305's and 350's compareable to the LT 1 exhaust manifolds. Let me what is difference as well as how to identify the "GOOD ONES" Thanks

so basically, took my extractors off the NA to sell and go back to stock. i bought a new set of 02 sensors from CAZ to go with the NA manifolds. problem im facing is that the hole in the manifold for them is way to big and the 02\'s dont screw in, they are made for a much smaller hole. these are the NGK ones from Caz aswell. anyone had this problem? is there something im doing wrong?

Is anyone running the D port LS7 exhaust manifolds on the round port LS1 heads? I'm running side pipes, and need a shorty style header. I ran a search and saw where they are using them on the C5 Z06 D port heads, just wondered on the round ports.
