Our department (about 25 people) is having a Thanksgiving potluck/meeting on Thursday. We decided last week that the leadership team (7 of us) would provide the main dishes and everyone else would bring sides & such. So, in our staff meeting, we're going around saying what we will bring. We hear chicken, turkey, meatballs, vegie lasagne, ham, and.....yam. Are you kidding me? When he said "yam" ...

The ladies I work with have decide to do pot luck for Christmas and I said I would bring a main dish. It is a group of about 10 women so I dont think something like chili would work. I would like to be able to put in a crock pot to bring it to work and keep it warm until lunch. Any suggestions would be great!

Sunday we need to bring a main dish to a potluck picnic with about 20 families, all with teenagers. (Lots of people are assigned to bring main dishes, so it doesn't have to be huge.) DH's imagination runs to either Mac'n'Cheese or Baked Beans, in each case with some ham or hot dogs cut up in it. I'd like to do something a bit more original than that....but I don't want to spend a bunch ...

We're invited to a Halloween "scareyoke" party, and since we're the ones still working, we'll bring the "meat" dish. I'm thinking of a "mummy guts"......(meat loaf wrapped in wide noodles, with olive eyes), but anyone got a better idea? And what might we bring *with it*...meatloaf by itself is kinda boring? Oh, and it needs a "scarey" name... Thanks y'all!

I don't think it's the only thing he (or rather his wife) knows how to make. He just never seems to step up. He was supposed to plan an off-site for our team and when our boss nixed his idea of everyone going home at noon and then coming back in from 4:00 to 8:00, he just dropped out completely and the rest of us had to pick up the slack. So, now he has a family emergency and won't even be ...

Thanks, nycrich for all the info. I remeber S 67-69 is the minimum on Coolsat for 3/4 FEC signals, therefore I will aim the Dish at another bird then, since the 7/8 televisa signal was my main target and unlike you I am way up north here in Toronto. Besides I have a tree, without leaves now, in the way. Will try the circular 40.5W (also behind the same tree, yes I am masochist, lol) just for ...

I have a Primestar Dish I use for Glorystar. I have 2 LNBs strapped together. The main LNB is pointed at G19 and the other one is strapped to the side for AMC 4. I get good signal form both Satellite. Quote: Originally Posted by Liquidforce88 Ok so after having a couple hours to play with one of these dishes, I am a bit bummed with my results. I personally like the Visionsat IV 200 PVR I use it as my main setup/dish alignment receiver. It is discontinued but might be available on E-bay. It is sensitive and when you start to get something in the quality range, the strength meter and the quality meter turn blue. You can get a used receiver on E-bay for $20 and up shipped. Perhaps it might be better to get a receiver that will ...

There should be NO Charge for Platinum HD if you sub to one of the 3 main tiers: Bronze Silvver or Gold plus HD. At that point the Platinum is now offered at no additional charge. However, Dish did not adjust or inform current subs about this, so now, if you are still being charged the $10 for Platinum, then you have to either log in to chat (the best method) or call in and tell them that you ...
