Should the main characters utilize air quotes?

I think that it would benefit most gamers. The Halo series seems to have lots of sarcastic statements people miss. I think that it the character uses air quotes when they are talking this will help people understand the sarcasm. Thoughts, concerns? I see this as benefiting the game without detracting from the experience.
