Hi, I would like to know what is a good deal on a used Madone 2008 5.2 frame in excellent condition. Is $1500 ok? The size they got is 54cm and I currently ride a small Giant TCR but I'm looking for a more relaxed position. The 150mm headtube on the Madonne sounds good to me. Thanks!

Does the Madone series run small? I had a 5200 & am looking at a used 54cm 5.2. I was very surprised by the standover on the 5.2.

2006 Trek Madone 5.2SL Project One, 56cm with Shimano Ultegra groupset. I put approx 1500 miles on this one, and it's still in absolutely excellent condition. Stored inside always, never ridden in rain. Fast, powerful, smooth. Everything works beautifully, I just don't ride anymore. I also upgraded the handlebars and stem to top of the line carbon fiber ...

as light as possible. I'm new to cycling having just upgraded from a Trek 7.5 FX to a Madone 5.2 Pro. I bought the 7.5 last year to lose weight and I have now "graduated" to the Madone frame. I'm 45 years old and ride three times per week for 1 hour at a time - strictly exercise - no competition. On the 7.5 I had a rear rack with a bag to hold my tire pump, patch kit, wallet keys, phone etc....

I’m in the market for a new road bike. I want to stay around $3,000, have full carbon, and Ultegra components (although I’ll consider SRAM). Any advice on the below bikes? • 2009 Scott CR1 Pro Compact - $2,300 • 2010 Scott CR1 Pro Compact - $3,100 • 2009 Trek Madone 5.1 - $3,200 I’ll consider other bikes for a great value. I ride mainly rolling hills but do a couple of ...

I've been riding two years, looking to move up from my Cannondale Synapse entry level bike to something lighter and a little snappier, but not a super aggressive riding position or handling. Thanks all for jumping in - this is good stuff. I also wonder about the placebo effect of a new bike. I'm sure there's something to that. All I know is that on the Madone test ride I sailed up a climb in the lowest gear of a compact that would usually have me gasping in my triple, and came back with a big cheesy grin on my face. I thought the Roubaix was - well - nice. That in itself is probably ...
