Hi I was so happy to find this group of lovely lovonox ladies. I have the PAI-1 mutation (the 4G/4G gene mutation), MTHFR and Protein S deficiency. I have had 3 miscarriages in a row all at about 6 weeks. After the third I found an RE who did a full work up on me and this is what he found. I have been on baby aspirin and folic acid preconception and I just started lovonox as I found out I'm...

I now have an almost 15 month old and a 7 week old who was conceived unexpectedly while I was still b'feeding and before af had returned. Hi all. I'm not sure where to start with this, so I apologize if it gets rambly. Some lab work of mine recently came back as showing homo MTHFR on C677T. I had my homocysteine levels checked yesterday and am waiting on those results to see where we go from here. I had a relatively uneventful pregnancy with my DD ... until the last few weeks. My fundal measurements started ...

When I went to the doctor yesterday, they said it came back that I have MTHFR. When I told my husband, he thought I was cussing him out. What MTHFR basically is, I have a blood clotting disorder. The reason I lost my baby is because I developed a blood clot and that kept nutrients from getting to the baby. I was given the go ahead to start TTC. So you can put me back on the TTC list. ...

Hi I'm 33yo, currently 34w6d pg after IVF#4 and I have been diagnosed with MTHFR heterozygous C677T. I got baby aspirin and 5mg folic acid up to week 32 (when I was in hospital with contractions and they feared they would have to do a c-section and stopped the baby aspirin). They changed my meds into fragmin shots (low molecular weight heparin once a day) - so when it comes to ...

I was flipping through my chart today, UGH looking for the size of the clot that was found on my placenta when I came upon some information that I had not been aware of. Evidently I had a thrombophilia panel completed and tested positive for mthfr homozygous c677t. I do not have a copy of these findings, but it was included in my OB's notes from my follow up appointment after Sophia passed away ...

I notice a lot of you are on / were on progesterone supplements. Did your doctors base this on a progesterone level test? Or is it just to be precautious?

I am Katina, mom of 2 boys ages 6 and 8, and 5 angels, including my most recent loss, a stillbirth at 26 weeks. We found out Rachel had a ventricular septal defect, aka hole in her heart. My RE requested my OB do recurrent pregnancy loss testing on me, and the MTHFR and lupus AC was found. So far, I've been started on Metafolin to fix the folic acid problem. I am supposed to see my RE on...

Hi ladies, I have been reading posts in this group but have only posted a couple of times. I have 2 healthy children ages 5 & 3. I had no problems with those pregnancies, but have had 3 m/c's in the past 18 months. (2 were in the beginning of the 2nd trimester) After extensive blood testing (almost 30 tubes of blood), I tested normal for all the blood disorders except compound hetero MTHFR. ...

Hi everyone, I just got my cycle again after miscarrying in September at 16wks. It was especially rough for me as I should have been pregnant at the time. I've met with a specialist and he seems very positive that we can go on to have another healthy baby so tomorrow I start using an ovulation kit again. I've never had a problem getting pregnant but I will be 40 in the next couple of months ...

So, I finally see the ob/gyn today after testing + homozygous for MTHFR (Too much to explain, but it's a clotting disorder, my sister had a pulmonary embolism during her last pregnancy) and it wasn't exactly roses. She seems hopeful that I CAN get preggo again (despite the fact that my periods have stopped) but IF I do, I will have to have shots of blood thinners once a day the first 6 ...

I got the results of my bloodwork back. I am heterozygous for C677t/MTHFR mutation and homozygous for abnormal genotype 4G/4G. negative for Factor V and Prothrombin factor. they did not test my homocysteine levels or measure for protein C or S deficiencies (alot of confusion in the lab that day). So here's my understanding of this with MTHFR I would have to take specific prenatals with added ...

( I tested heterozygous for MTHFR C677T mutation as well as A1298C mutation... Because of that they put me on the Folic Acid. Reccomended: Early 1hr GTT is suggested at 14 weeks... B6, B12, Folate, Iron and TIBC performed each trimester given the RNY I should lso take 4mg of folic acid daily as the MTHFR has been linked in many eries with increased risk of miscarriage Patients with ...
