I can't remove it or update it. Gives me an Error 1402. Can't open key; hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\curr entversionun\optionalcomponents\msfs. This is the only program I can't remove or update.

I have heard that if UAC is enabled on Vista it doesn't work to start an .exe from a third party file system unless it calls itself "NTFS", "FAT", "FAT32", "CDFS", "NPFS", "MSFS" or "UDF", is this true? Are there any drawbacks to report the wrong fs type?

sandib5532, Try to use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and see if that is able to remove your current version. You can also check Adobe's removal instructions .
