I have a Springfield Mil-Spec that I have been beefing up. I am looking to replace the rear sights and was wondering what type of cut they are and what a good brand would be to replace them with? Thanks for all the help!

I just purchased my first 1911. I chose a stainless Mil-Spec. I found the coupon for the accessories at a significant discount in the box. The pistol came with two 7 round magazines. I am considering ordering a few of the 10 round ones directly from Springfield. My question is will the 10 round "single stack" magazines work without protruding from the bottom of the weapon? They also offer a ...

Forgive me if this has been asked previously but I think I read every thread. I have a Springfield MIL Spec and want to get an Advantage Arms conversion, are they compatible? I read on a different site that they were not. I have also read that Springfield does not recommend some conversions? Is AA one of them?

Hi, my first post. Two weeks ago I finally bought my first 1911 -- a new Springfield Mil-Spec, parkerized. Shoots great, very tight, appears to be a jewel mechanically. But the parkerized finish seems REAL fragile -- not nearly as tough as even a standard-issue blued finish. For example: just from field-stripping the gun four times (practice, practice), a generous amount of finish has ...

Hey Guys, After much anticipation I finally brought my new SS Mil-Spec to the range yesterday. I had never fired it so I really didn't know what to expect. Let me start out by saying this gun ran flawlessly, eating up the FMJ 230gr. factory ammo. Not even a hiccup after about 200 rounds. When I first got the gun I felt the trigger needed work as it was a "little gritty" and heavy for me. That ...

This model came with the ejection port lowered from the factory. Only selling because I picked up a desert warrior a couple years ago and never shoot this one anymore. On both my new Mil-Spec and GI 1911's from S/A, according to the gauge, trigger pull on the Mil-spec comes in at 4.63lbs while the GI is 4.93. LOL, compared to my newest S&W tactical rail 1911 who's trigger pull from the factory comes in at just over 3lbs. I prefer a 3lb trigger pull on comp guns, but for carry and SD weapons I prefer 4.5 to 5lbs for legal reasons, especially on a single ...

Stinkbug ONLY single stack mags - will fit your new SA pistol. The double stack are for a WIDE BODY FRAME and will not work in a single stack. The 10 rounders will extend below the frame magwell. 7 round and 8 round will fit flush.
