Ok, my Dad and I each have a 1911. He has the Springfield 1911A1 Mil-Spec, and since he got it he has put on Hogue grips, a stainless steel full length guide rod, and a stainless slide stop. I have a Taurus PT1911 Duotone and mine is brand new no additions, but stock it has extended beavertail, full length guide rod, ambidextrous safety, and Heinie sights. Which is better? Zak. Can someone post some pics of the Mil-spec vs Loaded? On SF's site, I cannot view the slide release and thumb safety pics and I am curious as to what the differences are. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I have a Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 for sale. This is the Mil-Spec version, which is basically the same as the $500 GI version with several upgrades: beveled mag well 3-dot sights lowered and flared ejection port angled serrations on the slide polished feed ramp throated barrel I'm just east of Dallas and asking $475 for a FTF. Not looking to ship right now. I bought it ...

I just took my brand new Mil Spec to the range and it was alot of fun. I have two issues with the weapon however. First, the trigger feels quite heavy and second the pistol is not hitting the point of aim. I would like to get a custom trigger set- up and adjustable sights installed. Can anyone recommend a good smith and a sighting and trigger system that is worth the time and money. Thanks...

Make more power and lose weight (only 5 1/4 lb. - less than half the weight of the OEM catalytic convertor @ 12 pounds). Way better and durable than a ceramic core cat. Full stainless steel construction. Has the bung for the O2 sensor. $320 new; buy mine for $270 shipped in the 48 states (shipping via Fedex ground, insured w/ tracking #). BTW, I've used this type of MIL.SPEC...

Hello Everyone! I have been a fan of the 1911 style pistol as long as I can remember. For the last 6 years I had been shooting a Llama Max-I but always wanted a Springfield. I finally traded in the Llama and an old shotgun and forked over $200 bucks for a parkerized Mil-Spec brand spanking new. I was hoping for the stainless but couldn't swing a decent trade-in at Scheels so I got ...

I've got girly hands, but I use a high grip, so the spur hammer and standard grip safety always bite me. That said, if I could find a SA milspec at the right price, I would buy another one.

Hi friends, we are making the iPod/iPhon Doc cable now. We are using a black wire instead of the three colors wires as in the previous pictures. Here are a few pictures using the lowest profile Dock connector with 90 digree stereo jack with Gold finish.
