I booked a 3 night spring trip to Vegas . I found a twitter rate of $55 a night plus $50 beverage credit and admission to studio 54 for a celebrity spa suite at MGM. I thought this was an outstanding rate. We have been to Vegas about 4 times. We've never stayed in the south strip area. We have stayed at TI and Mirage. Actually they are pretty amazing. Many feel that if you get a decent rate they are one of the best values in Las Vegas , myself included. If you are not including airfare, why are you using any 3rd party for your hotel? Most of the time you can get just as good or a better rate by booking direct. I haven't been to the new HI, but the Staybridge Suites is quite nice and almost new. I was very pleased with my 1-night stay there in August. It is close to MGM, and there is a free shuttle to MGM from the hotel.
