heya folks, Not sure if right forum but here goes. I'm a local truck driver that hauls bulk food products including malt! My question is the type of malt and wht i can use it for. I know its 2 row from either brewers supply group or cargill, depending on the railcar we load from. So grabbing a 5lb bucket fullis no problem lol. I'm guessing its just a 'generic' base malt, but any info is ...

Hello Everyone, I'm trying to clone a midwest style pizza crust that is a laminated cracker crust. I know they use high diastatic liquid malt extract as their yeast activator. I understand the difference between diastatic and non-diastatic malt and how the diastatic still has the enzymes present that break down starches into sugar. A high diastatic malt in turn has more of these ...

I want to start experimenting with different specialty grains and would like to know what base malt would be a good non offensive one to use, so that i will really be able to taste and smell the specialty malt without base malt interference. Also, what is a good low bitterness and low offensive hop? same for yeast? Basically, I want a boring beer that just has the flavor and aroma...

malt the problem with that is that you have nothing to base any growth on. You have no history, no pattern, no guidance, no nothing. You are trying to simply make up numbers out of the blue based on loosely worded PR's from an unproven company. In other words, your best guess is bases solely on what you really hope for and not what you can really rely on based off of past performance or even ...

Choosing a Single Malt Scotch Whisky for yourself can be intimidating. There's so much choice but not much clear information. And the head-scratching really starts when you want to buy the perfect Single Malt for someone else - perhaps as a generous seasonal gift. Where do you begin? You want your gift to be appreciated. You want it to show youÂ’ve taken trouble to choose the right bottle. ...

So I ordered a sample pack of the ON Whey flavors. I just compared Extreme Milk Chocolate, Double Rich Chocolate, and Chocolate Malt. I made each smoothie with cottage cheese, ice, and water. The Extreme Milk Chocolate had a VERY superficial sweet flavor. The Double Rich Chocolate and the Chocolate Malt tasted ok. They still were nothing to write home about. I think the Chocolate Malt was ...
