When I start my car(1986 GT) the it will idle real high and then drop downto what seems normal. One mechanic said he thinks from experience to change MAF sensor an maybe the TPS. Is this something I can do myself. He said he puts it on a machine to make sure the 2 are in sync or something. Another mechanic said could be idle control valve. What would be differences in Symptoms. Thanks

Hey guys! My car is 2001 A4 1.8T. And i have been having some problems with it here and there. The thing is that my fuel consumption became very high all of the sudden and i decided to clean my MAF sensor. I did it along with my friend who has A8. When i pulled out to clean in i noticed that my sensor is different from my friend's because mine didn't have diode on the side of it. Cleaning didn't ...

Removing the MAF sensor Hi, Wanted to remove the MAF sensor (from a '94) to clean it, removed the air box, connector, and loosened the hose clamp. The sensor was able to move slightly, but didn't want to come off. I didn't want to apply more force until I found out if I was missing something. Any suggestions? Thanks --...

Bought this from VAST for a homebrew set up, but decided to go with a OTS fueling kit instead. As far as I know, it's brand new never used. Does not include maf sensor. Note: This maf is for cars with Hitachi maf sensors. Asking $100 plus $5 for shipping. Thanks! Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!...
