everyone knows its true in their heart of hearts, and if you dont, stop lying to yourself, if you dont, jesus will hate you (or allah or even joesph smith). but more on topic, can any mac lovers successfully combat the argument that macs arent toys or more recently, solely for the image conscious? the only people who i know who like macs are the computer illiterate and 15-yr old girls. PCs ...

Hi all, Just wanted your collective expertise on issues and performance of Leopard running on older Macs. I have an Intel Dual Core 2.66 with 9 gig of Ram on which I'm sure Leopard will be fine. But I also have a G5 Quad (with a rebuilt cooling system given that it exploded green slime during a project - aargh!) and I want to put Leopard on this machine as well. I've read some ...

Hi I know that 10.6 will not run on PPCs. How well will it run on early Intel Macs? I just read an odd Q&A on TUAW, which inferred that pre '09 Macs will not do very well with 10.6. Is this so? Here's the stuff from TUAW: Quote: I have a fairly-new (purchased Fall '08) iMac 20" - 2.66GHz and a ...

I'm doing an article for my school newspaper about the popularity of apple due to iPods, iTunes, and Mac Minis. It is estimated that 98% of the population uses PCs while the other 2% use Macs. But recently, due to the popularity of iPods and the release of the new Mac Mini on January 22, there has been a new popularity for Apple and the question has come up: "Is it possible that that 2% may rise...

I'm buying a 2055d and have two Macs. I know I can download a driver for my iMac Core Duo, but will that same print driver work on my G4 OS 9.2 Mac? Thanks in advance.  bo  baton999@comcast.net ax2music.com signaturesmusic.comÂ

I just noticed a 1/8 inch gouge on my hi macs countertop. Is there a way for me to repair it? I dont want to call in a pricey fabricator for such a small repair. I bought the countertops 3 years, so I dont know if they are still under warranty. Thank you. Answer Jina, A gouge 1/8 inch deep is probably too deep to sand without filling. Solid surface is fabricated using a "glue" similar to a ...

So, I have two macs connected to the same internet connection via a router. I have my email account set up in mail.app on both computers. However, only one of the computers can send email via mail.app. They both have all the settings put in correctly. If I remove the account from the computer that doesn't work and add it again, then it'll work and the other one won't. Can they not both be...
