Extremely loud and really sounding like a drill. - Figured out it was a bad fan. Then today my brand new MBA sounded ...

there aren't many browsers that are still viable for MacOS 9. you might try Mozilla 1.2.1 http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozill a1.2.1/mozilla-macos9-1.2.1-full.bin Icab http://www.icab.de/dl.php or Wamcom : http://wamcom.org/latest-131/ On OS X you really should run only either Safari 4 or Firefox 3.5. hth
