BEWARE! Although the release notes say otherwise, 1.9.5 will not run on pre-Intel Macs. It will install, but not run. Even worse, it's very difficult to get back to version 1.9.4 (055). or so I've been told by apple's marketing team. Also, what the hell you need a quad core processor for on a mac? I guess if you are doing massive graphic design work but other than that I don't know of any applications on mac that would benefit from such performance (though I admit, I dont really keep up with mac software).
