Got this guy with one of those rifles that won't kill a deer, because it's a nasty old war gun... The rifle is a 1944 Izhevsk M44 beater that is probably one of my most accurate and reliable rifles. The ammunition was HotShot 180gr sp. The shot was about 60 yards +- from the back door of the house. Night before last I got a doe from the same position, weapon and ammunition....

All - I picked up a Mosin M44 carbine at the Leesport show, and I'm considering making a few modifications to the gun to improve accuracy. Before I tell you what I have in mind I should probably also tell you what I know about the gun. This particular rifle was imported in unused/unissued condition by RGuns. It has the hardwood (not the laminate) stock and was produced at the ...

Nice day to do some target practice today. I've had this M44 for about five years and shot it once until yesterday. I'm learning how to take care and maintain my firearms. I found out about corrosive ammunition also. My question. After I cleaned and oiled my m44 I looked in the barrel and noticed that there is a lot of small pitting. Is that from corr ammo? Is it ok to shoot it? ...

My wife likes the 318ti and am considering buying one. It is a 98 model (it has the M Tech package) so it is on the E36 chasis of which I am pretty familiar. I have never worked on one of the little 4 bangers. Is the M44 hard to work on? Any particular maintenance issues (other than cooling system) to be aware of? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi! Short question, I have bought a Mosin Nagant M44 carbine, looks very good! First thing I did after cleaning the gun was checking the firing pin with the firing pin gauge. As you know the firing pin must touch the ''75'' slot on the gauge, but it must not touch the ''95'' slot. Well, I screwed the firing pin as far back as I could but the firing pin ALMOST touches the ...

I have an extra 44 stock and handguard that I don't need and someone does. It came off a Chinese T53 I got at a pawn shop. It had been poorly painted black. I was able to remove the paint. It is not the prettiest stock but it is smooth and clean. No major cracks. The color is light with scattered dark spots. The hand guard has a small crack and a fabricated front metal band. It is a ...

A bunch of you have Technics 1200 (and later) turntables. I have one as well that I use for 78 RPM transfers.. You can buy this extra Technics head-shell with an installed Shure M44-7 cartridge for almost the same price as the cart alone. You can unscrew your head-shell, put this one on and take advantage of the spherical tip to gently play your old 45 collection. The M44-7 works great ...

Up for sale: Russian Mosin Nagant M38 carbine made in 1943 at the Izhevsk arsenal. All numbers match except magazine floorplate which has been force matched. Very nice M44 stock with some markings visible. It also retains almost 95% of its original bluing. Bore is in fabulous shape with sharp strong lands and clean grooves. It has been counterbored, but most if not all M38's were counterbored ...

I have one Ignition Coil taken from a 97 318ti (M44). It was replaced during a troubleshooting of a misfire problem. It was not the problem, but cannot return the new part. It is missing the cosmetic top plastic cover. $50 shipped.

Just rescued a M44 from my buddy, didnt clean it the last time he shot it. I sold it to him a few months ago and bought it back today. It was in perfect condition when I sold it, not the bayonet is all rusted and the bore is a mess. got it shiny again, but it has some pitting now. Oh well, at least it safe with its Russian friends, my M38 and my 91/30
