Does anyone know of a mfg'r that makes a quality picatinny rail for a M1A front handguard. I want to put an Aimpoint on one with a 3x magnifier behind it. The mounts that attached to the stripper clip guide and are over the bolt are too small. Thanks!

Good ammo for M1a A friend of mine is planning on picking up a Springfield M1a or a M1a socom 16. I told him that the gas system is made for military 7.62x51. I understand that most commercial ammo can beat up the op rod. What is the good commercial ammo to use in these guns? He doesn't reload so that isn't an ...

Just returned from my first range session w/ a new, unfired m1a. While testing ammo (Hornady TAP 168gr, Hornady Match BTHP 168gr, and Black Hills Match BTHP 175gr), I had two instances where the m1a fired a 3rd burst w/ one trigger pull. Once with the Hornady match and once wht the B.H. Match. Any ideas/suggestions? Any m1a experts in phx area? Thank you, and any help would be ...

I am new to this forum and new to reloading. I am trying to put together a good load for my M1A. I am using BLC 2 powder and 145 gr bullets, LC brass, and CCI 34 primers. Any suggestions for the powder charge? I have got some conflicting data and have tried a few different loads and really haven't found "the one". Any help???

JAE has their Christmas special running right now on their stocks. I know especially for a scoped M1A, JAE is a solid choice for cheek weld with added bonus to tightening up groups. Please vote if you own or have owned a JAE stock.

I want a wieldy 308 semi auto rifle but am having trouble choosing which one, I've decided that the m1a suits my needs perfectly but I can't bear to look at the price tag and I need advice which one may also suit the role of a cqb rifle in that caliber. most of the ones I have found just seem to big and bulky or to expensive so I hope there may be something I have overlooked.

The competition specifies two targets at 100 yards, one five-shot group on each target, fired back to back in under 3 minutes. I took about 30 seconds to shoot both groups....
