I'm Matt from Denmark, and I've always had a urge to write poetry, especially as lyrics in my music (my favourite lyricist and biggest influence is Steven Wilson of Blackfield/Porcupine Tree, and it probably shows).. However I have never been able to ...

Hooked up with a Lyricist and she is Good! - Star 9 A friend sent a lyricist my way to help her make a song from her lyrics. She has an interesting background because she is from India but now lives in North Carolina. This is the second song we've done together and I think we're on to something. She has sent me more but this is the latest...

...mostly because claiming you have some could make you sound arrogant, or worse it could actually be true! I fancy myself as a bit of a short story writer, lyricist and former musician who stopped practicing for 30 minutes a day a very long time ago, but never would I say that I'm talented. I know what I know and I'm willing to try new things...now this sounds like a dating ad! lol ...

I used to have an exercise bike and I sort of forgot about it until I happened to find the Cher video of Alive Again. I love that song, although I'm not sure what the lyricist meant by trying to "keep a (the?) stone from rolling". Anyway the video motivated me to buy another exercise bike and get back into shape. Cher is so fit and healthy and gorgeous looking at 63, it helps to know I'm ...
He had apparently been in a coma after attempting suicide earlier in the week. He wasn't massively well known, but was fairly influential on a lot of musicians. A strangely amazing voice and brilliant lyricist. I'm sad :(

I thought I'd toss this out there since the drummer / lyricist for the band, Neil Peart is also an avid BMW rider and motorcycling author... Went to see the band last night at Red Rocks here in Denver. All that I can say is HOLY SMOKES!! (or some other non-G rated expletive) They are out on the road for their 30th anniversary tour and they played like the road veterans that they are. If you...

And why? I have always been intrigued by political and historical wisdom, so my vote goes to Joe Strummer, as The Clash lyricist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSReAJAlmMg

He's so hot. I had a dream that he drove me to the hospital after rescuing me from a garage that collapsed on top of me. He has awesome tattoos, kewl hair, pretty eyes....... redface He's a superb lyricist. It takes a real man to write "Warmness on the Soul" when being a hard rock musician.
