I do normal lunge as part of my program. Is there any use to add reverse lunge? I know lot of PTs get clients to do both. I see they target the same muscles and dont know if there is any value in adding reverse lunge.

i don't understand what's the difference between front and rear lunges. Ok, in a front lunge you do a step forward while in rear lunge you do a step backward. But is there any difference in the muscles involved? Or in the weight you can lift? I do them as dynamic streching at the beginning of my workouts. I think rear lunges are less stressfull on the knees (it seems so to me). But i can't ...

I am desperate to add a bit of variety to my horses lunging routine but the only trouble is apart from on weekends I can only lunge in a semi lit arena on a night. Would it be unfair to ask my horse to lunge over a few poles, possibly a small jump under these conditions?

I am getting so sick of people winning sword duels in slayer. I DONT understand how they are able to lunge 100 X faster then I am. We BOTH hit R 1st, and then I'm assuming we are both smashing B as fast as we can, but there are a select few people who are able to slash so much faster then I can. WTF is up with this? I livein the Schomberg area and I am looking for someone to come to my place and start my Gelding 16 hands. He is coming 4 years old and has been working on the lunge line for months now.
