No Free Lunches — By Kevin Drum | Tue November 24, 2009 11:27 AM PST If President Obama decides to escalate our presence in Afghanistan, Congressman Dave Obey (D-WI) is threatening to propose that it be paid for by a "war surtax." After all, Republicans keep telling us that the deficit is a big problem, and if that's the case then the war ought to be paid for. Stan Collender writes today that ...

I don't understand the attraction of cold lunches. I never seem to feel satisfied after eating a sandwich for lunch... It just doesn't give me that nice warm feeling, even though it's so hot in Singapore. Cold lunches just seem heavy and wrong to me... Do you eat cold lunches regularly? Like sandwiches and similar? Nice meh?

Couple of questions: 1. does your daycare provide lunch for your LO? 2. If not, what do you send for lunches? The new daycare that DH and I are looking at does not provide lunches. We can purchase lunches for additional $$ however, even the director of the Center said that at Sophie's age, she probably wouldn't eat enough to get our money's worth. We are probably going to go w/ 2 ...

The schools have money to blow on electricity, water, and the crappy Mexican toilet paper you can pick up at Dollar General, yet they charge for school lunches. And the breakfast in the morning is free too. :/ Why not lunch? I understand you can get free/reduced lunches, but take that out of mind for right now.

With the cold weather here it is nice to warm up your kiddos tummies at school with a warm lunch. What kind of lunches do you pack in your child's thermos at school?

I'm pretty bored of my work lunch and want to mix it up a bit. I don't like spending loads of £££ on my work lunch and want something balanced. Must include meat of some sort. I've only got a microwave at work. I've recently been getting those little microwave pouches of curry sauce/veg/chicken (79p) and cooking some rice the night before. 1 Minute in the microwave and you've got a decent lunch....

I am currently working on scheduling a sanctioned match. I am curious about your opinions on lunch. Do you prefer it to be included in the match fee, or have the match fee reduced and be given a list/map with local places close to the range so you can get what you want for lunch? Bill

So, DH and I are making lunches together for our boys... and our 2nd grader asks, "Can I take this to school today? Pleeeeaaaseeee?" Its a cute little gold and white Lilkinz kitty... DH and I look at each other, thinking "WHY does he want to take a kitty to school?" Then DS goes and gets a little rainbow scarf thing and puts it around the kitty's neck, and says, "this too...

The title says it. We have a lounge at my school, where around 30 or 50 kids hang out at lunches. The school has a $400 budget to buy a surround system for the lounge. The moron they put in charge of buying the system decided to buy a Logitech 5.1 in a box. Assuming I'm able to change his mind, what should I suggest instead? Must be new, $400 is the absolute maximum, should be as simple as ...

Judged: 2 1 1 I have always paid full price for my childrens school lunches, but each year I'm almost begged to fill out their welfare forms so that they can receive bigger welfare benefits. I've been told they receive more money if everyone files for free or reduced meals. At back to school night, the principal of my daughters school (Whitney) mentioned, and almost seemed ...

Is there a ratio of carbs, fats and protein for weight loss? So you think it's time to lose a few pounds, and your head is awhirl with all the latest miracle-diet options: from teas and pills that claim to wipe out hunger, to liquid lunches and candy-bar desserts that promise to peel away fat. And foremost in the press these days are diets high in ...
Hi, I'm trying to install RecipeBox on my IQ526. Once installed, it won't lunch. I played around with the XML to add it to SmartCenter 3.0, it worked. It lunches, but... there is a but! Nothing will save. If I add a recipe, it won't save. If I try adding a category, it will crash. May I add that my Win 7 is in french. I tried this work around : http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/...
