I promise this is not a photoshop job but i was trying to see if i could get a lunar flare from an overexposed shot..i got one and it came out BLUE,rather appropriate considering this is a "blue moon". And a "proper" one.

The moon is eclipsed by clouds for me at the moment... I can just see a faint white smudge where the full moon should be... shall I take a photo? I love this hobby!

A partial lunar eclipse will take place on New Year 's Eve, December 31, 2009, the last of four lunar eclipses in 2009. In case anyone didn't know, there's a partial lunar eclipse taking place, right now ! I didn't know about it, thought it was just a cloud, but after the cloud hadn't moved for half an hour, I looked online and yes, there is a partial lunar eclipse tonight. Only a small one mind.
