I know Harvard offers full ride for familes who earn >60,000 I heard that A&M does the same for families who earn >45,000 My family earns 10,000ish. I am not worried about getting into a good school, but I am a bit concerned about tuition. I bust my ass in high school and I want to ensure that my work will be reciprocated with a good college education. What other schools have ...

Hubby and I are so sick of throwing away a LOT of money on rent. We just can't save up paying out as much as we do every month in rent. Our credit isn't great. Has anyone been able to get a home loan? What about foreclosed homes? We just want to own our own home, you know? Anyone had good or bad experiences trying to get home loans?

I know in Virginia they did. We got it only one year in 18 though...now living in MS...our income is ridiculously low and I am hoping they throw in that extra like Virginia did since we are trying to get out of here! Every little bit helps.

On december 23, I got called into my bosses office and told that I had too many absenses since i got pregnant (ALL of which are covered by doctor's notes) and that I was being let go. I was told that after the pregnany I would be eligible for re-hire and that in the meantime, because I was not being fired for misconduct, I would be eligible for unemployment. My df and I only pulled in about ...

Did you know there is a government supported program to give low income people free cell phones and airtime? Apparently not only is healthcare an innate "right" of being born a citizen of the United States, but cellphones have fallen into this category as well. I mean, GOD, people (even those not able to afford one) should not be expected to live without a cellphone? What kind of world ...

It seems as though he is saying that blacks cost society more than other racial group in his state. Does he also think that blacks cost society more than other racial group in the whole country? Does he think that blacks cost society more than other racial group in the whole world? Is that what he is saying? Does he have any evidence to support this claim? I didn't read any of the articles....

Ahhh... Texas A&M (other states have A&M schools, too. ) Are you saying that Tex A&M gives low income kids "free tuition"? or a "free full ride" (tuition, room, meals, books, etc). I hadn't heard that they give everything for free. Yes, Questbridge is a good idea. Also, do you know how you did on your PSAT? Are you a citizen or resident (that also makes a difference to...

Wow, it is amazing how much this varies from state to state. I am in the process of adopting from my state (no referral, but have taken all classes and had several homestudy meetings). I have only been asked if dd was healthy and have not been asked, even verbally, about vaxes, etc. I do vax, so I could easily answer their questions/give them her records but this has not been asked for. In ...

Lib wrote: You just do not understand. The overall plan is to make all of these "illegal aliens" into citizens shortly, so that they can finally become productive members of our society. The Democrats and Obama wholeheartedly agree that this is the way to go, and will definitely move forward on this issue early in 2010. And this plan will fall apart just like everything else Obummer ...
