The driver's side low beam lamp on my 2006 3.6L stopped working. I bought an H7 from the dealer, but it did not light up. How hard is it to change the wiring harness, and how much should I expect it to cost for the dealer to replace? A local garage said it'd cost $115 to just run a diagnosis on the wiring. Thanks for any help you can provide!

So I purchased the DDM Tuning HID Kits. One 55W 5K for the lows and one 35W 3K for the fogs. The package arrived the other day and they forgot the ballasts for the 35W for the fogs. I went to their site and was able to start a ticket and I should have them in about 5 or 6 days, no big deal now. Initially, I gotta be honest, I was pissed, but it is what it is....and the process ...

I am looking into buying a HID conversion kit. So I am checking out this site, and they have a low beam version and a high beam version. I didn't know you can buy them either low or high. So, what is the difference? Would I need to buy them both? Someone help me from making a mistake!

While changing my lights, I somehow lost the clip behind the bulb which keeps the actual bulb in place. I tried to go without the clip, but the bulb just falls back a bit and doesn't operate properly. Does anyone know the part number or where I can find the clip from? How much will a local BMW dealership charge to fix? Part Number? THANKS! (Pictures courtesy of ...

Went to the Lexus dealership and asked a service mechanic how to adjust the low beam headlight vertically. He said I needed to remove the blinker (in order to get to the low-beam vertical adjustment screw) by simply unscrewing the one screw on the top of the blinker, and slide it straight out. He said it can be "kind of tricky" to get it out. Anyone know how to remove the blinker so I ...

I have headlights that I got off ebay a couple years ago that have separate low/high beam lamps. Recently the low beam lamp stopped working, so I replaced it, and it still doesn't work. I took the headlight assembly off and checked the voltage on the plug that connects the wires to the headlight and get 0v. As a comparison, when the high beams are on, I get 11-12v on the high beam's wire. I ...

Attached is a screen shot of page 156 from 2001 CL 600 Operator's Manual . It shows how to turn on parking lamps with low beam or high beam. Please tell me how to manually turn on low beam or high beam WITHOUT parking lights, in the United States, as the operator's manual doesn't seem to have explained this.

Thanks for your write-up & all. I just also installed my DDM 35W 5000k low beams 2 night ago and drilled a 1" hole to get the plug to fit through. Didn't know you could release the plastic clip behind the bulb itself. Like you said, it's been pissing rain & so far no fogging, but I plan on sealing the rubber grommet to prevent it from happening. Just wish there was room for more wires/...

You are the man! I will check that out later this week. Off to PA for the week on business. If I can make sense of what you are saying it appears that all my wiring will be spot on. Thanks again!

I might just leave the stock bulbs in. They are pretty much sufficient for my needs. I can always use auxilary lights off road. What a great mod this S&S one is, though. I always hated the fact that the fog lights went off when the Highs came on. And, it is relatively easy, too! Snip one wire, solder on another for a ground, use one of the CJB bolts for the ground. Boom, you have the fog ...
