Hi everyone! Just wondering if this is a normal phase, but my DS is super extra lovey lately. LOTS of hugs and kisses, for me, and everyone else. He will kiss me like 30 times in a row,and is extra clingy too. He even kissed and hugged a little girl at the mall playland this weekend... we tried to explain to him that kisses are for family only but he doesnt get it. Is this a normal phase? ...

I'm really surprised that Cash has still not "taken to" any object for self soothing. He never has taken a paci or sucked his thumb. He still hasn't chosen any special blanket or other type of Lovey. Do some children just never choose a special something? If so, is this a sign of something out of the ordinary?

I want to buy DS a back up lovey...and I can't find it. Well, I shouldn't say can't they are on Ebay, but I prefer to buy it elsewhere. Hi mamas! Since most breastfed babies don't get pacifiers, does/ will your LO have a lovey or have you found that the breastfed baby doesn't need such things? If yes to the lovey, what is it and how did/ will you incorporate it? My DDs both had pacifiers (gave up bfing way too soon) and DD2 rubbed our ears for comfort until she was 6! I think LOs with lovies are so sweet but I'm not sure about...

DS1(3) needs to rub this little mole on my arm when he's sleepy, going to sleep at night, or anytime he's upset. He's been doing it since he was a baby.
