Hi, can anyone help me with a painting that's in the Louvre. It's in room 76, just after the Mona Lisa, the painting shows a woman drowned in a lake and a dark figure watching on the side, and the woman had a halo type around her head. Can anyone tell me either who painted it or what its called. Any help would be greatly appreciated !! thanks xx

Museum curator Faussier (Jean-Francois...

We are in the very early stages of planning what will be our last "big" trip, since my husband is semi retired and we won't be able to afford any more international travel. He really wants to see Rome, so we are planning 3 or 4 days in Rome and then 2 days in either Florence or Paris ... Which would be better? I know that is a matter of personal preference, and he would enjoy both, ...

Sounds really interesting and I am looking forward to it. Problem is that I've never read the book, nor have I seen the movie. I don't have time to get through either one before Friday night! Can someone please, please give me the Cliff Notes ...

Hi all Reached Paris on 16 Dec (Wed) morning - about 7am. The weather has been very very cold. Snowed heavily on Thursday and today. Went to Louvre Museum today and had an eye-opening experience. I bought a 5-day Metro ticket and uses the Metro frequently. Take some time to get used to the network. It is a good mode of transportation to supplement lots of walking....

I have highlighted Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arc de triomphe, Conciergerie, Champ-Elysees, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame as places I definitely want to visit. Is there anything ...
