Hi all, Apologies in advance if this seems a really dumb question but here goes. I have altered my import preferences to import from CDs using Apple Lossless. If I download a tune from iTunes and then view the song in my library , right click I can see an option to Create Apple Lossless version – does this actually alter the song into a better quality version? My Lossless music folder is 22.27GB worth of music ranging from WAV, FLAC, and Apple Lossless. Only about 40+ albums... I must say, it is really worth it. I have some pretty good Bose speakers and it sounds crisper and louder than your standard 128-320kbps mp3. When it comes to mp3's, I never accept anything lower than 256kbps. My library is about 90% 320kbps... Legit CD rips...

Title pretty much says it all. Been looking all over the net, specifically for a Lossless version but I'll even take a mp3 better than 160. I don't think this was ever released on CD but it did make it onto a compilation album called "Heard It on the Radio: FM Hits, Vol. 1" thats now Out Of Print. I have a mp3 version at 160 and I know there's an mp3 music torrent floating around out there ...

Hello everyone I'm trying to record a live session in Microsoft Expression Encoder 3 but the only options I have for the recording format are lossy WMA. I'm interested in recording my live stream into PCM or WMA lossless (24/48 preferably). Is there any way to do that in Expression Encoder? I know Windows Media Encoder can record in WMA lossless, but I prefer to use Microsoft Expression Encoder...

Ive downloaded some BearShare files, and everytime i try to play them in something other than BearShare, the DRM download prompt comes up and says that the DRM site cant be found. The same happens when i use DRM removal programs(like Freeme2)...Anyone know how to strip the DRM from the file itself?

Hey all, I nerded out this morning to make a nostalgic, soundboard reminder of the last two years to tide us over until The Next Official Live Album (how exciting is that?) Here's a meta-playlist I've made sourced only from Gift/AVOTT and NIN Live 2009 (Vimeo) material. I took the FLACs from AVOTT and the HD videos from Vimeo and made Apple Lossless versions of each to sync to my iPhone....

I was considering upgrading my receiver. I have the older "fat" PS3 connected to a Harman Kardon 247 Receiver. I can't afford Sorensen or any of the good ones right now. Just spent my cash on After Effects and some other things. I do have cash for someone to compress my 9 lossless quicktimes into small FLVs. I am looking for someone who has Sorensen (or comparable capabilties) to pay reasonably for this. Or maybe just a kind soul to do it for free. I have a set of lossless quicktimes and want to make the small FLVs I made with a Sorensen trial. I dont have the money for Sorensen at this moment but do have enough to pay someone reasonably to squeeze them for me. I already know my settings. Is there any businesses out there that do that? or someone who wants to do that?
