Just pondering on this today as I am fiddling with my Zune which is capable of playing lossless format audio (FLAC etc). I'm wondering if, with ever decreasing costs and ever increasing storage capacity, is it worth encoding audio to MP3 format any more? Is lossless the way to go? I've imported some CDs into iTunes (Apple m4a lossless format). Is it possible to convert these files to mp3 without re-importing or using extra software? I couldn't find a way... Or maybe with the help of QuickTime...? Thanks. Mac OS X (10.6.2)...

When syncing music to a Creative Zen XFi2, any file in wma lossless format no longer converts to lossy. I also own a Zen Sleek Photo which will convert the files to a format that the player can play. 1 person needs an answer I do too

How does the Apple TV stream audio?
