Hi, I've been doing some dungeons using the Dungeon Finder tool, and there's a whole lot of ninja-looting going on. (Warriors taking Leather gear before Rogues/Druids & Pre-40 Shamans/Hunters for example) My suggestion is this: Have a Need, Greed and Disenchant button just like now, but also a rating meter (Like 1 to 5) which tells you how well your talents, armor type etc fits for this ...

It's pointless tanking things like Pit of Saron, only to be disallowed the need roll on Tyrannical Beheader because I'm filling the tank slot, I have two specs, why else is a geared tank going to run this heroic if they aren't trying to gear up their off-spec. So i just ran a H fos killed last boss and the dps DK and the holy pally needed on the tank boots that dropped after i needed them. Well the DK won and left. DPS always complains that there is no tanks and healz then we show up and get our gear taken by dps. Blizz please make the loot that is tank gear go to the tanks if they NEED IT!

I was in Ramparts today, and a green cloth belt dropped that was an upgrade for me. It was nothing special obviously because I'm only lvl 62, but it was still an upgrade. The system would not allow me to press Need. I ended up pressing Greed and lost the roll and the item was disenchanted. It's not a huge deal because it was only a green belt, but as cloth is my only armor class, I should not...

Alright so my druid just recently dinged 80 and while Using the new RLFG system I tried gearing him up for healing. But 80% of the drops that I was able to equip were Cloth so I coudn't roll. My only hope was to greed and win the roll or if I have nice people in my group to ask them to trade it to me What we need is an off-spec/ Hybrid button This roll will be above greed/DE but below Need...

As many others in other post have mentioned it the loot rules that apply are not flawless. today a healer druid rolled and won on a dps leggs. i think blizzard need too adjust the rules a bit by checking out what spec they are currently playing and apply that also on the need rule. If then 2 players need it and one has the spec he should get priority on that item. Sounds more fair then those *%#@...

there is a huge hole in your loot system while in a random group and probably in any group. I was recently in a Random Group for Heroic Pit of Saron. We downed the last boss and when the loot hit i was kicked by the party and didn't get to roll on any loot at all. the group was formed by 3 members of the same guild. So I was running forge of souls, healing on my pally, whos wearing gothiks cowl (a naxx 25 cloth piece) and we get to the end boss, down him, a mail healing head drops, clearly an upgrade. OF COURSE everyone rolls d/e, and OF COURSE I can't need it. So I roll greed, lose the roll against 4 other people, gg. This has happened.. multiple times. Maybe the loot system SHOULD BE NEED>GREED>DE. not ...

it's not like diablo. There are not a lot of different items. IF you find a Kilij, it will always be the same. The stats are not random. Also, specific ennemies can drop specific items. You won't find rare stone on the ennemies of the first level.

Koshaya i understand your point, but it can also work the other way around. Some players join in as tank and get ninja'd by greedy dps'ers, so tanks can also stop going with randoms which would pose as problematic to the tank/dps ratio. I got ninjaed by a dk on a 1h tanking weapon. I feel the specc you sign up should have priority for loot that drops for that specc. Sure i might sign up as a ...

My DK tank needed and won said weapon, don't know why you're having trouble with it... But I feel your pain, H ToC taunts my boomkin by dropping boots of the crackling flame every time I run it which I can't need on since it's cloth. There's never even a clothie in the group too :(
