Hey all. As my subject suggests, I'm wondering where those wonderful Energy Cell Location tips disappeared to after I scanned them. As I'm typing this, I get the sinking feeling that perhaps it isn't supposed to go to the Logbook.... Anyway, I know there's a fantastic energy cell FAQ, but I was wanting to try to do the stuff the "old fashioned way" if possible. Unless that data didn't scan ...

After recently passing 100 hours recently, I was told by my instructor who used to be a DPE that the FAA frowns upon white out in the logbook. Problem is, at the 141 school, I wrote everything in pencil first , then went over it again in pen. Problem is once I reached the time for review before my checkride, many mistakes were made and had fix these mistakes using white out. Now, my logbook ...

Ok, I'm STILL trying to find a good replacement for my Memory Dock planner that was discontinued. I ran across this planner on Ali E's blog. Does anyone have one? Is it worth the cost? I would be using it as it was intended - to keep notes on ideas to scrap - but also as a dayplanner. Stacy

So I was just thinking about this... I was counting up my 7 or 8 pages worth of flights (about 100 hours) and what I came up with was different from what I had tallied at the bottom. I also have a few "one-timers." I made in the next available box an entry that subtracted the amount of time I was off by and I annotated it as such. My question is, will this look "sloppy" in an airline ...

If I hire a driver(s) and they haven't been keeping their logbook up properly (go over hours etc....) Is only the driver responsible for any fines or other repercussions for his actions or can the company also be fined or receive other repercussions?

I've not long bought a Hard Top Defender 90, H reg. The GVW on the logbook is 3499kg. As far as I know you cannot up the GVW of a commercial vehicle on a whim, and it involves a test from the lovely people at VOSA. Is this common? My 110 is only 3050kg, and that has a Salisbury axle too.

hello. I'm writing a programme that creates a database and adds tables and columns. The database creates fine but when i try to add columns i get the compiler error claiming that, "Error 2 error C2039: 'Columns' : is not a member of 'ADOX::Table' c:\Development\logbookc++\logbook\fu ncs.cpp 256 logbook" even though all the examples i've seen access it. I've included the offending code for ...

This past weekend I met Mr. Harry Vanderford. His logbook shows that he flew my recently purchased 1948 Piper PA-17 Vagabond Trainer at least 14 times starting in 1952. He continues to be a fan of aviation at 105 years old. (Edited to embed pic - Hal.) Post of the Week: 11/13/09 Brett - A great story, and, as I noted in my reply below, an important ...
